Frequently asked questions
What is VanillaMine Plugins?
A free place to find, download and publish plugins and virions for PocketMine-MP 5 and VanillaMine, a fork that keeps PocketMine-MP 5 up to date with new Minecraft Bedrock versions. Every release is checked automatically and every new plugin is read by a moderator.
Is it an alternative to Poggit?
Yes. It serves the same releases.json and /get/PluginName links as Poggit, so installers, hosting panels and bots that read Poggit work by changing the host. Authors sign in with GitLab, GitHub or Discord, and the rules are based on Poggit's. It is not affiliated with Poggit or PMMP.
Which servers can use these plugins?
Servers running PocketMine-MP 5 or VanillaMine, for Minecraft Bedrock Edition (the old Pocket Edition). VanillaMine keeps the PocketMine-MP 5 plugin API, so API 5 plugins work on both. Each plugin page shows the API versions it was made for.
How do I install a plugin?
Download the .phar from the plugin's page, put it in your server's plugins/ folder and restart the server. Type plugins in the server console (or /plugins in the game) to check that it loaded. If it needs other plugins, its page lists them under Dependencies.
What is a virion?
A library for plugin developers, like on Poggit. A virion is bundled into a plugin when it is built, with its namespace changed so two plugins never clash. Server owners never install virions themselves.
Is it free?
Yes. Downloading needs no account and publishing is free. A plugin may offer paid extras, but it must be usable without paying (rule A5).
How do I publish my plugin?
Sign in with GitLab, GitHub or Discord, accept the submission rules and upload your .phar. A moderator reviews every new plugin; trusted authors publish their updates straight away, also from CI with a token.
