ParlorChat 1.4.0
Chat formats per rank, @mentions with a sound, clickable item links and a gentle swear filter.
Description
ParlorChat
Make chat readable. Every rank gets its own format, mentions ping the player with a sound, and [item] shows the item
in your hand to everyone.
Formats
formats:
default: "§7{name}§f: {message}"
vip: "§6[VIP] §e{name}§f: {message}"
staff: "§c[Staff] §f{name}: §b{message}"
placeholders:
balance: true # {balance} with PocketLedger
Ranks come from RankLoom when it is installed, or from permissions (parlorchat.format.<name>).
Mentions
Write @name and that player hears a note block and sees the message highlighted. Players can turn it off with
/ignore or in the settings menu.
Swear filter
Off by default. When on, it only replaces words from filter.txt, one per line: no surprises with player names.
Commands
| Command | Permission |

Reviews
Good, but I had to turn the filter off: our players use a lot of slang it does not know.
Mentions are great on big servers.
Formats are easy. Took me a minute to find where placeholders go.
